Short House

Short House started in Los Angeles in 2007. Artists Michelle Chong and Ian Henderson converted parts of their living space into a resource for various art endeavors. Short House hosted artist workshops, performances, and exhibited work from numerous artists.

In Berlin, Short House functions as a transient space. While still encompassing a community based support network, Short House collaborates with permanent spaces within Kolonie Wedding.

Short House continues its programming through community initiative, focusing on exchange. Short House promotes social “hitherings.” Like making up new words, sometimes it works, and when it does a story begins to grow.
